Ready to Read?
When you put a "Y" at the end of the word read, it turns it into ready. To put the title of this consideration in motion, when one iz ready in any field of endeavor, one iz ready to read what’s coming to one externally and internally. This requires dialogue which turns into a communing of a sort in order to form the right next move relative to the overall endeavor.
As human beings we are constantly put in a position of having to read all the currents of living substances moving round about us and within us. We always must be ready to read because there iz always something to be read.
We send young children to school so they learn to read. It’s not just written words which are learned about. True schooling iz about learning to think and true thinking iz about learning to read. Can you read the expression on my face? Can you read your own heart (let alone someone else’s)? Can you read the weather? I am speaking of more than just a storm or drought relative to the physical temperature and climate (though that’s important too). The weather in human beings gets externalized. What of the atmosphere of the weather within? Can you see indications of storms brewing? Can you consciously change the weather? Are you able to see "droughts" in yourself and then "rain" on those areas? Can you read your internal seasons? Can you read the world weather patterns?
The question asked many times of us iz, "Can you read the writing on the wall?" How many levels can you read? For instance, can you read behind what iz being said on an evening news broadcast on TV? Do you take what you hear on TV or read in the newspaper at face value? Lots of times face value seems to be given a sparkle, it iz sensationalized to provide a stimulation that creates a feeling of being mesmerized for a moment. In the TV business it’s known as a "captivated audience".
Many things clamor for us to read them by commanding our attention. This iz much like a child going out of his or her way to get your attention. If a child iz trying to get your attention through clamor and glamour, it iz a good idea to read the fact that this iz a child’s game. It’s important to be able to look behind any game even professional sports and see it iz a game. Some people think life iz a game. I think life has gamesmanship in it but to me it iz more like a story to be told which you make up as you go.
People sometimes say to each other, "Quit psychoanalyzing me. I don’t have a deep dark motive behind my actions. Just take my actions at face value." It’s difficult to read this world if you have not been taught how to read it. The first lesson in reading iz to learn to read yourself--your own thoughts and feelings. If you perchance went to a school or met someone who taught you how to read your own Book of Life, then you have a true foundation to be able to comprehend the larger story. We can spend our lives psychoanalyzing ourselves and everyone else to determined the underlying motives. It iz good to know motivating factors yet you cannot see with true clarity until you are able to read yourself. The first book report which you may not have completed in your early schooling iz now required and overdue: the report on your own Book of Life. It iz totally autobiographical!
In order to report on it you first have to read it. A lot of people think they can get by just with reading the cover or the inside flap. Some people let other people tell them what their life iz all about. Your book iz open and your pages are right there in front of you. You need one ingredient to read your story--Light. When you are ready to read your Book of Life you naturally become the Light to illuminate the pages.
